Statement From The National Lime Association About COVID-19
March 19, 2020Community News (Ste. Genevieve) – May 2020
May 4, 2020To Our Valued Customers and Vendors of Mississippi Lime Company Concerning COVID-19,
This updated communication is intended to reiterate that at Mississippi Lime Company, the health, well-being and safety of our employees, customers, and vendors is our top priority. As we continue to monitor the impact of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), Mississippi Lime Company will follow the guidance issued by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as well as state and local health departments.
We would also like you to know since our last update we have implemented significant social distancing, additional cleaning, and other precautionary measures. We have not had disruptions to our supply chain or operations due to COVID-19 and we believe we are well-positioned to avoid significant disruptions going forward.
In the spirit of proactive communication, we have identified a potential scenario where our lab in Ste. Genevieve, MO could be required to idle temporarily for deep cleaning if we were to experience a positive COVID-19 diagnosis in that area. The lab has tight quarters and sanitization/cleaning would be required before re-entry. This could result in MLC not being able to generate Certificates of Analysis (CofA) temporarily during the cleaning period. If this hypothetical situation were to arise, CofA for shipments would then be based on limited data.
Thank you for your business and understanding during these challenging times.
